Satways Ltd, founded back in 2006, is a leading IT company developing state of the art integrated Geospatial command and control and situation awareness solutions for the Security and Public Safety domain based in Greece with branches in UK and Germany. Satways’ product line includes C2 and C3I enterprise software packages that respond to different operational requirements of Public Safety and Security Agencies such as Distributed Geospatial Data management, Operational Resources Tracking, Incident Management and Dispatch, Physical Security Information Management, Natural &Technological Hazards Crisis Management and Border Surveillance. All Satways’ products follow a modular architecture that permits easy customization to meet exact user requirements, adding capabilities to deployed solutions by adding additional modules and everything is available through a single end user application. The company’s mission is to provide effective decision support, to simplify operations, to provide a Common Operational Picture (COP) and collaboration tools across organizations, to collect and disseminate data in the field and to coordinate response units and system users. The company’s clients expand from the Fire Brigade, Police, Coast Guard, Emergency Medical, Civil Protection, Critical Infrastructure protection up to Border Surveillance Authorities while its products are already used in 24×7 operational environments in the frame of several large-scale commercial projects, such as the Doha Asian Games and the Athens Olympic Games C4i Systems where the latest one being the Hellenic Fire Brigade IMS/CAD system at National level. Satways has established a great research activity since its foundation and has been able to build a noticeable and coherent national and especially international/ EU funded security projects’ portfolio.
Role in the project
STWS will lead the delivery of Risk Assessment tools for the pre-crisis phase as well as will develop and deliver interactive user interfaces for the C2 application of the project. Furthermore, STWS will contribute to the Combined Physical and Cyber Threat Detection and Early Warning system integration. Moreover, STWS will participate in all 7SHIELD planned activities related to user requirements specification and use cases design as well as to the platform’s pilot implementation, testing, evaluation and trainings. Throughout the project, STWS will utilise all its networks and synergies to disseminate the project and its outcomes and establish a stakeholders’ network towards the creation of a sustainable market and exploitation plan.
